Protect your people and
property with VidGuard digital video security
VidGuard replaces analog tape-based
security systems in any application that needs
reliable, low-maintenance video security with
Internet, LAN or modem access. The system leverages
the low cost of high capacity hard disk drives and
fast, powerful PCs to create a powerful, easy to use
video security system
VidGuard runs on any Windows 98, NT or 2000 PC
Whether you need 1 camera for your home or small business, or 1000 cameras distributed
over multiple locations with hierarchical central
station monitoring, VidGuard offers a solution.
VidGuard's modular, building block
deployment strategy means that you can create a
system exactly suited to your needs. Huge security
systems are built from the same components as small
systems - just more of them. Start with a basic
security system and grow VidGuard along with your
business.
Machine vision system
sees moving objects
VidGuard continually monitors video input from all
your security cameras, scanning for moving objects
larger than a threshold size set by you. When a
security event is triggered, it automatically records
video to your PC's hard disk and optionally activates
other control outputs, e.g. pager notification.. It
detects movement directly from the video, so motion
detection will work with any NTSC, PAL or SECAM video
format security camera.
Flexible triggering
and control options
VidGuard includes a built-in security CAD
(computer aided design) tool that lets you route
video, alarm inputs and relay outputs just by drawing
on the screen - a computerized patch panel.

a loud speaker connected to your PC sound
card, e.g. "For your safety and
convenience this area is under electronic
surveillance." |

Send a page to your beeper. When
you get a page alert, you dial into VidGuard
remotely to see what triggered the security
event - offering 7/24 monitoring and
virtually eliminating false alarms. |
